Today I released the first video in my “Wall of Shame” series – click the image below to watch it, and please share it!
What’s the Wall of Shame?
Well, I’m going to be highlighting examples of Maine’s out–of-control bureaucracy and how it’s holding back regular folks from getting ahead.
It’s shameful, and it deserves to be called out – and fixed!
We all know costs are out of control right now, and one way I’ll be attacking that problem as governor is to cut these ridiculous regulations.
In this video, you’ll hear about Ryder from Vassalboro.
Ryder is a true Mainer – he’s got a problem to solve (housing is way too expensive) so he figured out how to solve it (mill his own lumber from his own land).
Unfortunately for Ryder and for so many other Mainers, in many places regulations require that lumber used in housing be inspected and graded. That costs a lot of time and a lot of money.
That’s unacceptable, and that’s why this situation is going on the “Wall of Shame.”
Thanks for reading.
When I’m governor, this nonsense will end.
